Go To Market Manager Adnan explains how he and his team create tailored solutions for OES partners.
What does the Go To Market team do?
“OES’s Go To Market team bridges the gap between strategy and business development,” Adnan says.
Keeping a close eye on higher education trends and market conditions while leveraging OES’s dedicated Experience and Insights team, Adnan and his strategy colleagues identify, define and validate concepts for new services and partners.
“OES is continually piloting new ideas and testing the benefits for students and partners. This puts us in a unique position to scale and adapt initiatives according to partner needs,” Adnan explains.
“It’s an exciting part of the business to work in. Every week, I’m involved in multiple conversations with different stakeholders within OES as well as external clients, to ensure our new products and services are compelling, viable and contributing to the best student experience possible.”
Combining skills to achieve client outcomes
Adnan says his role requires a mix of skills including critical analysis, financial modelling, market research and service design. He enjoys the dynamic higher education environment as well as the opportunity to hone new capabilities.
“The most important skill I’ve gained at OES is adaptability. The nature of our work forces us to react quickly to changing market conditions and requests from internal and external stakeholders. Being able to adapt and deliver the best outcomes within tight timeframes is challenging but makes me better prepared each time.”
Driving initiatives within a supportive culture of innovation
Passionate about higher education, Adnan and his team are currently working on initiatives related to OES’s Careers and Employability services.
“Helping to deliver strong graduate employability outcomes for our partners is a huge focus for OES, especially now as the future of work is ever changing,” he says.
OES’s innovation culture stands out for Adnan, who has worked in several of the world’s top consulting firms and holds business degrees from Australia and the USA.
“Everyone at OES is constantly looking to make sure the ‘way we do things’ is truly the best possible way to deliver better student outcomes. If you have an idea for improving a process, product or service, somebody will always be there to support you.”
