Student recruitment is a major priority for every OES university partner, which means our marketing and advertising teams play a crucial and exciting role within the business.
So, what’s it like to be part of the OES marketing team? For Advertising Manager Kristen, a supportive team culture and diverse mix of passionate colleagues create an inspiring work environment. Together, team members explore and test new digital marketing strategies, advancing their own skills while helping partners succeed in a competitive market.
“I love that my job requires constant learning,” Kristen says. “It’s also very rewarding to design and deliver campaigns with the goal of helping students succeed.”
Designing and delivering campaigns
OES works with university partners to find, engage and nurture prospective students towards enquiry and application.
“The advertising team helps prospective students discover our partner universities, the courses we offer and the strong support we provide our students,” explains Kristen. “Through strategic and targeted campaigns, we inspire and motivate students to take the first steps towards their career goals.”
Kristen describes the Advertising Manager role as “varied, challenging and fun”.
“You do need to be organised. On any given day I could be developing advertising and marketing plans, analysing campaign results, coordinating the development of creative assets or managing our media buying schedule.”
Collaborating to leverage the latest technologies
“The culture of innovation is one of the things I enjoy most about OES. Trying new things is encouraged. In the fast-paced world of digital marketing, we’re empowered to be innovative in our campaign creative, to find new audiences and retarget known audiences. We test and refine our approaches to get the best outcomes.”
Running through Kristen’s role is constant collaboration and communication with colleagues, agency partners and OES’s Executive Team.
“I enjoy the variety and the opportunity to contribute to the success of multiple university partners and OES,” she says. “It takes a diverse team of creatives, media planners, website content producers, course consultants and communications coordinators to get every campaign off the ground. We work together to drive results.”
Sharing skills and perspectives
“I really value working with skilled colleagues right across the marketing spectrum,” says Kristen. “Every team member brings their own unique skills and perspectives to the table. It’s rewarding to be part of a team and see large projects come together.”
Kristen has felt valued and supported throughout the past two years of remote working due to the pandemic.
“We often have weekly meetings just to catch up. It’s a great way to get to know teammates better and always brightens my day.”
