VVOB Empowers Educators Using Scalable and Accessible Microlearning Solutions

In response to the need for flexible and accessible educator training, VVOB transformed its traditional face-to-face capacity-building initiatives into a comprehensive digital learning program. This initiative aimed to enhance the professional development of educators through a series of self-paced, multimedia-rich microlearning courses designed to be compatible with various platforms and accessible in low-tech environments.

Our Approach

OES addressed VVOB’s challenge by designing 29 microlearning modules, each focusing on specific educational themes. The transition to microlearning allowed for the design of short, impactful, and direct courses that were media-rich to illustrate difficult concepts.

 

To ensure the courses were accessible and effective, we developed them to be compatible with mobile devices. Despite being media-rich, we ensured the courses were accessible for learners with low bandwidth and could be easily translated into other local languages. The multimedia elements, such as short texts, illustrations, videos, audio, quizzes, and interactive activities, were integrated to engage learners and support knowledge and skill acquisition.

From course design and build to graphic upgrades and video production, we worked closely with VVOB to design course modules that were engaging, user-friendly, and accessible to educators in areas with poor connectivity.
