\nAfter more than 15 years in the industry, we’ve come to recognise that digital education rarely becomes outdated all at once. More often, its value erodes gradually. Individual resources become obsolete. A change in regulation or industry practice triggers a costly round of redevelopment. \nA digital learning initiative may be judged as a success because it attracts enrolments or generates positive early feedback, but evergreen innovation introduces a longer horizon.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Can the course be updated efficiently when knowledge or policy changes? Can internal teams maintain the experience without constant external intervention? Can assets be reused without making every programme feel identical? Can technology be replaced or adapted without disrupting the wider ecosystem? Are academic staff equipped to personalise and improve what has been built?<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

These questions reveal whether an institution has created a durable capability or a one-off success.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This is also where the final pillar brings the wider SCALE framework together. A solution is more likely to endure when it is aligned to strategy, shaped collaboratively, delivered through adaptable processes and grounded in a clear understanding of learner-centred quality.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
